For each visitor to our website, our web server automatically recognizes the visitor’s email address as either a “registered user” or “anonymous.” Anonymous visitors may be directed to a registration page, though not required to complete it.
To monitor the performance of our Site we may collect non-personal information about our members and visitors, such as Internet server and browser identification, the Internet service provider, clickstream information, the web page from which a person enters our Site, webpages visited, duration of visit and domain type.
The only Personal Information that we collect about you is information you voluntarily provide through our Site by signing up for the services offered on our Site, via registration, signing up for our newsletters, downloading complimentary white papers, signing up for online events, and product order forms (“Services”) to give us contact information, such as your name, company name, title, address, phone number, and e-mail address. If a visitor opts-in to being contacted by us or a third-party, we or the named third-party may also use the information to contact visitors to discuss their interest in additional services, and to send information regarding the company, such as promotions and other events. Any such email will have an unsubscribe link to opt-out of receiving any further communication from us or the named third-party. To update or complete your registration information or Services you have signed up for, log-in to the Site and you will be directed to “Your Profile” page where you can update these settings.
We may also track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information (“Aggregated Information”) from our visitors.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We will not sell or rent your Personal Information, including visitor e-mail addresses, to anyone. We will share your information if you have opted-in to receive communications from a third-party provider of Services you signed up for on the Site. We may disclose your Personal Information to our third-party contractors who perform services for us in order to complete the Services you registered for on the Site. These contractors are permitted to use the Personal Information only for the purposes of such Services, unless we obtain your permission for additional use. We may disclose and transfer the information obtained from you through this Site or the Services to our partners or as part of a merger, acquisition or other sale of its assets or business.
Moreover, we may be legally obligated to disclose information to the government or to third parties under certain circumstances, such as illegal activity on our Site. Correcting & Deleting Your Information
You can update your contact information or request that we delete all personal information we have stored about you from your profile page. To update your contact information, enter in the updated information and select update profile. To delete your profile select delete my profile at the bottom of your profile page. Access Your Information
As a visitor, you have the right to request access to the information we have collected about you. You can do this by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will provide you with an electronic copy of the information we process about you.
Protecting the Privacy of Children
SellingPower.com complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not direct any communication to children nor do we knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. If upon notification by a parent or guardian, or discovery by other means that a child under 13 has registered on this site, we will immediately cancel the child’s membership and delete the child’s personally identifiable information from our records.
When you interact with the Site, we try to make that experience simple and meaningful. When you visit our Site, our Web server sends a cookie to your computer. Our Site has security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the Personal Information and data under our control. We host the Site in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other industry-standard technology to help prevent interference or access from outside intruders.
Selling Power keeps your account information active in our user databases in order to provide immediate access to your personalization preferences and data each time you visit the Site. However, any Personal Information of an individual within the European Union collected by us will only be retained for the period of time needed to fulfill the purposes for which we initially collected it.
If you ask Selling Power to delete your record, your record will be deactivated and then deleted from our user database within 72 hours.
