What makes people charming? Here are some tips to increase your charm factor.
Greet friends and customers as if you’re thrilled to see them (and hopefully you are).
Listen. People love to talk about themselves. Charming people listen much more than they talk.
Resist the urge to interrupt, pause before replying, ask lots of questions, and paraphrase to prove that you’re listening to what the other person is saying.
Look. Use direct eye contact when you are listening. Look into the other person’s eyes, not the bridge of their nose, their forehead, or beyond one of their ears. Every so often, move your eyes back and forth.
