Significant CRM Industry Announcements

Onyx announced the release of the Onyx Email Accelerator, a solution designed to help target, personalize, send and track high-volume HTML emails. It is integrated with Onyx Enterprise CRM so users can send personalized emails and track the responses in real time.

FrontRange announced the availability of GoldMine Corporate Edition 6.7, the latest version in its CRM product portfolio, and a module in the upcoming FrontRange Sales, Marketing & Relationship Management product family. The offering has a different user interface and additional functionality, and can scale from single-user to enterprise-sized sales groups.

Best Software announced the acquisition of Federal Liaison Services, Inc. of Dallas, TX, a provider of employer payroll and tax filing solutions. FLS provides software and technology solutions for compliance, reporting and payment functions. These products can be provided as a standalone software sale or an outsourced hosted solution.

Netsuite announced it would offer high-volume email marketing capabilities within its CRM application. NetSuite Mass E-Mail Marketing enables companies to send hundreds of thousands of emails a month and millions a year directly from within the company’s NetSuite and NetCRM on-demand applications.

Amdocs announced, with Nextel Communications, that their managed services agreement, initially signed in 2000, has been extended to the end of 2011. The two companies will work together to analyze Nextel’s systems roadmap and determine which Amdocs products and services can be leveraged to support Nextel’s subscriber and service growth. Amdocs also will continue to support Nextel’s core billing operation.

Research In Motion (BlackBerry) and Sprint announced the launch of the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution on the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network. Business customers can manage their information and communications on the go with the Sprint PCS Smart Device, the BlackBerry 7750. The solution is being sold by Sprint through its business sales channels.
