Most people will find reasons not to do business with a salesperson they don't like. Everything you do and say must convince your customers and prospects that they matter to you as people, not just as buyers. Make sure they value your opinions on issues that matter to them. You have influence in a relationship only when people are convinced that you know what you're talking about and you're worthy of their trust and time.
