If you want modern-day hospitality in an old-world setting for your next sales meeting, check out Virginia Crossings Resort, a luxurious conference center located near Richmond, VA, which came under the ownership of Benchmark Hospitality in April this year. Even if you’ve been there before it’s worth taking another look at the property. Benchmark brought in “key managers from their sister properties to enhance the capabilities of this beautiful facility and instill a culture among the existing staff that provides our customers with complete meeting experience,” says Jim Browder, director of sales and marketing at Virginia Crossings Resort. “The most important change to the resort involves a renewed commitment to the meeting planner and the conference attendee.”
Part of that change includes a “100% commitment to focus on our Complete Meeting Package (CMP),” which includes all meals, continuous refreshment breaks, overnight accommodations, conference space and standard audiovisual – “literally everything to hold a quality meeting,” says Browder. With the CMP program, companies pay a set price per attendee so there are no surprises on the bill.
The resort specializes in small- to medium-size meetings, providing all the high-tech needs of a modern-day sales meeting in a setting reminiscent of a bygone era. For example, attendees will find amenities such as dual-line telephones with data ports, voice mail and high-speed Internet access set amid colonial-style furnishings and magnificent flower gardens.
Virginia Crossings Resort offers 25,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space that breaks out into 23 meeting rooms, three executive boardrooms and a ballroom that seats up to 390 people. When the meeting is finished for the day, attendees can work out in the resort’s extensive fitness center, outdoor swimming pool or jogging trails. Or they can venture next door to the Crossings Golf Club for a round on the scenic course designed by famed architect Joe Lee. For more information, call (804) 727-1400.
