Compliments   December 11, 2013

Sometimes we find it difficult to accept a genuine compliment. We'll respond by saying, "I didn't really do it on my own; I had a lot of help," or "But I messed up that one major thing." Pay attention to what you say after you receive positive feedback. If you deflect praise or highlight something negative in response, it might be time to start practicing some self-appreciation. Eventually, you'll enjoy the compliments you get from others.
